Our Project

Unlocking Value in the Powder River Basin

Our core project is a CO₂-enhanced oil recovery (EOR) development in mature waterflood units located in Wyoming’s Powder River Basin. These reservoirs contain substantial remaining oil-in-place that can be economically recovered using proven CO₂ injection methods — extending the asset’s life and creating sustainable, long-term cash flow.

CO₂ Pilot: Proven Success, Scalable Potential

In the early 1980s, a successful CO₂ pilot was conducted on TR Operating’s Dillinger Ranch Field, demonstrating its strong response to CO₂ flooding. The pilot yielded significant incremental recovery and provided invaluable data on reservoir behavior, injectivity, and CO₂ storage potential. Today, we’re leveraging that historical success with updated engineering, modern completion techniques, and readily available CO₂ to scale up into full-field EOR projects on all our Powder River Basin assets.

Pilot results and reservoir modeling support incremental PUD recovery of 15-20+% of original oil-in-place through tertiary CO2 EOR

Why This Project

TR Operating’s CO₂ EOR project provides both a low-risk investment opportunity on TR Operating’s PUD holdings and the infrastructure to unlock the tertiary recovery potential of Wyoming’s regional Minnelusa oil field trend. The project promises robust returns for investors, all while creating Wyoming jobs, leveraging local CO₂ sources, and supporting sustainable energy production.

Next Steps

TR Operating is actively engaging with strategic investors and partners who want exposure to this proven, low-risk EOR opportunity. Qualified parties can request access to our secure virtual data room (VDR) to review detailed technical, financial, and legal information and begin due diligence.
